I am simply amaze at the call for ACA to investigate whether its work has been interfered by the PM as reported in http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90261 of Malaysiakini.
With all due respect, this will not work. ACA is under the Prime Minister Department meaning they are answerable to the ……TA..DA…Mr Prime Minister! It will not happen……yet……(I hope I am proven wrong!)
So how do you tell your boss , “ahem Sir, you are interfering in our work?”
We can only hope that our law makers (MPs) would be BOLD enough to push in Parliament on the setting up of a truly independent ACA answerable to Parliament.
So is ACA really taking instructions from higher ups?
The statement by independent-BN-SAPP Deputy President-Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan that he appealed to the Prime Minister not to immediately proceed with Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) investigations into Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee after SAPP announcement on the loss of confidence in PM on June 18 2008, seems to prove my point…….
I rest my case.
